Active appliances on bands

Active appliances on bands help create expansion, rotation, tipping or torque of first molars. Most of these appliances are non removable. However, some of them are fixed/removable, enabling clinical practitioners to remove them when adjustments are needed and to replace them in the mouth easily. Also, for all these appliances, patient cooperation is not essential. Note that these appliances can be used together with fixed orthodontic apparatus.
