Fixed rapid expansion appliances
Fixed Rapid Palatal Expander machines perform a separation of the medial suture by creating less toggle movement than slow expansion devices. These devices are ideal for patients whose motivation tends to be lacking, as well as for older patients, since the latter must be more expansive and faster. To obtain a mass movement, the central expansion screw must be activated every day by 0.25 mm.
Several types of fast fixed expander are offered. The confusion between the different devices, manifested by several technicians and clinicians, has led us to create identification codes for each of them. We advise you to use them to avoid prescription errors. It is well known that a picture is worth a thousand words. Our photographs will help you to distinguish the different devices that we present to you. Moreover, it is important to know that each device can be modified according to the needs of the treatment.
