Functional Appliances and Mandibular Advancement Appliances

Mandibular advancement devices correct Class II skeletal malocclusions by providing a Class I relationship between the two maxillae. Most of them are functional, that is to say that they act on all the orofacial functions, correcting as much the movements of the teeth as those of the tongue and the oral muscles.
